When designing the interior spaces, Amy knew that the bedrooms needed to be multifunctional, so that they could be useable and comfortable for Airbnb guests, event rental guests, and bridal parties using The Palmer as a bridal suite, while also sticking to the design aesthetic. The following is the King bedroom design board.

The King bedroom, or “front bedroom” is located at the front of the house, off of the living room. Amy started furniture selections by selecting a bed, and then building the rest of the space around it. Here is the link to the bed; however, the navy option is sold out. https://a.co/d/hV0DT4c

When Amy decided that she wanted to make The Palmer a multi use space, including offering it as a Airbnb, she consulted with an experienced Airbnb host, in Florida, who highly recommended Zinus mattresses. Obviously the bed, mattress, and bedding are arguably the most important pieces of an Airbnb, but this comfortable bed also makes a great place for bridal parties to lounge or take rest. It even makes a great place to stash coats, purses, and personal items when using the space for events! 😉 Here is the link to the mattress: https://a.co/d/3EzAF78
We have also gotten lots of compliments on our bedding.

This storage bench is perfect for guests to sit down and put shoes on, sit and talk while getting ready for a wedding reception, or a place for Airbnb guests to lay bags and suit cases. (There are also luggage racks in the closet).

Given that the theme is multifunction, the work area/vanity is the perfect fit for the front bedroom corner. Complete with a desk that can double as a vanity, a mirror, a dedicated lamp, and plenty of outlets for computers, hair tools and additional lighting if needed, this vanity/work area is perfect for use by bridal parties, or Airbnb guests needing a place to work remotely. All of these items perfectly tie in with the design aesthetic melding blues, golds, whites, and warm wood tones.
This desk/vanity is Amy’s favorite piece in this room.

This is the perfect accent piece, next to a large window for lots of natural light, and a dedicated lamp. Perfect for Zoom meetings or hair and makeup!

This stool is perfect – is lightweight, fits perfectly under the desk/vanity combo, and is comfortable. This is where Amy typically works when she is onsite.

As mentioned above, Amy consulted with an experienced Airbnb host who gave the advice to limit space used for night stands and side tables in bedrooms to maximize the space available for a King size bed. With that in mind, Amy chose these faux marble top side tables with gold accents. Not only are they the perfect size, but they are perfect for alarm clocks, and to be used as a charging station, not matter how The Palmer is being used.

Now for lighting. Amy cares deeply about having the proper lighting, so one of the first things that she did when starting the small renovation projects was to have the electrician increase the number of electrical outlets available for lamps, but also replaced nearly all of the light fixtures at The Palmer in order to create more light, more quality light, including LED fixtures, and to have fixtures that would tie into the overall look and feel of the space.

The bedside table lamps are gold and marble, which fit perfectly into the design.

Amy debated about whether or not to put televisions in the bedrooms, and ultimately decided that Airbnb guests may appreciate them, and bridal suite guests may want to use them for watching movies or playing music while they get ready. So there is a 45 inch Roku TV mounted in the front bedroom. TV linked here: https://a.co/d/4MWuPH4
